Finnpartnership

Matchmaking Service – for companies looking for Finnish business partners

 The Finnish Partnership Programme, Finnpartnership (www.finnpartnership.fi) is established and funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affiars of Finland, and managed by Finnish Development finance company Finnfund (www.finnfund.fi).

Finnpartnership’s mission and services are:

-         To increase commercial cooperation between Finland and developing countries,

-         Business Partnership Support Facility,

-         Identifying business partners (matchmaking service that is free of charge),

-         Planning and financial advice, and

-         Mentoring service,

The clients of Finnpartnership are, for instance, Finnish companies operating or planning to establish business operations in developing countries, or companies in developing countries wishing to do business with Finnish companies. Therefore, business partnership refers to long-term joint activities between companies or other economic actors in Finland and in developing countries, such as joint ventures, importing from developing countries or transfer of technology and know-how from Finland to developing countries. Eligible project target countries are all of the developing countries listed as ODA recipients by the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). If any company is looking for business partner in Finland, they can apply for the matchmaking service by submitting an application form which can be downloaded from Finnpartnership’s website at: www.finnpartnership.fi/matchmaking/registration

After filling the application form, company should send the signed form together with a one-page project description to Finnpartnership. The contact information is:

After receiving the application form, business partnership initiatives are published on Finnpartnership’s website at: www.finnpartnership.fi/english/partnersearch. Interested company can also browse, free of charge, for suitable business opportunities posted by other companies through the Partner Search function.
